Christina Aguilera has some words of wisdom to her fellow ‘The Voice’ coaches Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. The new couple has been plastered over tabloid covers since before they announced their relationship. Aguilera, who divorced music executive Jordan Bratman in 2010, knows that haters gonna hate.
“Don’t read it! …You don’t need to fill your mind or give your energy to any of it,” Aguilera offers the pair in an interview with Billboard. “Keep it positive. Do what makes you happy. Do what makes your soul feel good.”

The relationship is the first for both singers since filing for divorce from their respective partners, Shelton from Miranda Lambert in July and Stefani from Gavin Rossdale in August.
“They’re both great people and divorce is rough. Let them have their happiness,” she said. “One thing I will say is I’ve been through divorce. Divorce is hard enough and then to be under a microscope and scrutinized and rumors. It’s just a bunch of crap.”
